This kitchen renovation won First Place in the Central Virginia NARI CotY Awards in 2018.

The original kitchen had a bland, late century look that included a peninsula extending out from awkward closets on the side wall. The design Jennifer proposed gave the home an elegant, traditional kitchen it deserves, opened the traffic flow of the kitchen, and expand the homeowners a breathtaking view of the river.

We removed the odd closets from the side wall, as well as a closet accessed from the den that was housing the TV and cable components. To accommodate the TV and components, Jennifer designed cabinetry that went through the wall and tucked into the back of cabinets on the kitchen side, giving depth for the cable components and counter space needed for serving dishes going from the kitchen to the adjoining dining room.
